Can anyone in the know check that I have this wiring correct please?

7 poles in series and 2 parallel � delta (7S2P delta)

and the other stator is ment to be 14S Star.

Thanks Allan for at least answering 113 people have looked at this post but no one else has said anything!
Unfortunately your suggestion does not help as the wiring page you suggested is 7 phase but mine is standard 3 phase. But thank you for trying.
I am pretty sure I have got it right but was hopping for some reassurance from a senior.

Hi Damien

I think the reason you didn't get any replies is the drawing you put up is wrong and drawing these diagrames takes a lot of work and time. Besides, some posts here will get many hundreds of views per post.

I've done a simple diagram, the red dots are the output onnections.

Let me know if it doesn't make sense.

Thanks Gizmo, yes that makes perfect sense.
It looks like I had the right idea electrically but the delta wiring the way I had done it would not have been in phase. eg I joined them at the wrong end. Or not electrically balanced for want of a better description.

Was the second diagram correct?
Trev has asked me to wire my stators 1x 80 series (7S2P delta) and 1x 100 series (14S Star). as they are best for 48 volt with a white pointer anyway.
I could not find any examples on the website so I had a go, but needed someone to check the work. I was trying not to ask Trev too many questions as he has so much on his plate at the moment.

I know we have three wiring sections on the site 7 phase, rewiring 42/36 pole and staggered winding.
As a suggestion it would be good to have some more examples such as your diagram in a section on the website. Or even better still a calculator that you type in what you need and the diagram shows the rewire.
It might be too much work to go to the calculator idea but at least a examples page might not be so hard. basically just keep adding examples as the site plods along.

Hey Damien,
Probably very few people actually understand how to rewire, would be why no answer from 113 views. Me too, would have to spend a bit of time to work out what Glenn has posted. I have always just rectified the two ends of the series string seperately, and then parallel the DC side.

Yes Damien, very busy. Always at the end of a school term. 2 weeks off now. I want to have a go at a Axial Flux, but I probably won't get far on that. Holidays always dissapear quickly. I will get your White Pointer fixed up though. Damien, you should make a post with pictures etc and maybe others can suggest what happened.

PS Edit the second picture in your original post is as standard from the washing machine, and yes is 14S starEdited by Trev 2010-09-18

Thanks for sharing the link.
