Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hello Gents, I wanting to use the uMite to read a 250Kbps serial port, but the manual says that Com1 max is 230.4Kbps (tantalizing close). If the CPU speed is increased to 48MHz (from 40MHz default), Com1 max is still 230.4Kbps according to the manual. Can anyone suggest a way of achieving 250Kbps ? Thanks John Berry. |

The firmware will actually let you go to 2823529 baud at 48MHz. Geoff Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |

Something extra for the next release of the manual then? Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Thanx Geoff. On Uarts, are the Uart registers available via peek or poke ? At the moment I'm pretty confused about memory mapping in the umite. John Berry |

Yes they are, although you will have to decode the data sheet to find their address and functions. For example the addresses of the registers controlling UARTS 1 and 2 are listed in page 49 of the PIC32MX1XX/2XX data sheets. Geoff Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |
