Hi - does anyone know where I can find some sound effects MOD files for playback with the PLAYMOD command on the full-size MM?

I have had a quick search on the net, but all the MOD files I have found so far, are full-length songs - I am only wanting short sound effects.

Thanks for any replies.

I've tried to source MOD files,
but had no luck (pretty esoteric ?)

Depending on your purpose you might consider
TONE or PWM ......

Will certainly considder TONE or PWM, but just want to see if anything can be had in the MOD family first. I guess for alert sounds, TONE or PWM will do the job, but I figured that as MOD playback is much better sound quality then tones, I might be able to find some clever HiFi kind of alert sounds.

One " should " ( I would think ) be able to write a mod file.
The Amiga used a system where you wrote the waveshape math-wise
then wrote a script to define frequency and play the 'sample'
( All in Basic ) That's what I would like to do with MMBasic:
be able to write to the ' mod synth ' or however you define it,
rather than use a file . ( Because I use alot of random with
infinite loops )

Grogs,

Geoff gave a description of the PLAYMOD command on pages 81-82 of the OCT 2013 edition of Silicon Chip - the second month of the Colour Maximite series. He said "One of the largest (mod) libraries is at Modarchive
The article also noted that "You can create your own music using a program called a "tracker".....An example of a tracker can be found at Mod tracker
