He has had a LOT of interest in his PCB, so I guess he is getting lots of PM's.
I have no doubt that once he clears his inbox, he will be in touch.

Does anyone know how to get a larger inbox??

I am limited to 30 messages so at the moment am copying to a word doc so I have a copy of all PMs but this is taking too long

As far as I know, this is a limitation of the forum software.
I guess it is to prevent lots and lots of old messages being archived by the forum software, and thus taking up space on the forum server.

I guess you have to just reply then delete?

Yeah sorry guys, limit is set to 30. Need to keep the database tight.

Think of it this way. We have 2800 members ( yeah, most dont post, but lets play with the figures anyway ), so if each member had 30 messages, at about 1kB per message, then thats 80MB.

Besides, its always a good idea to keep a local copy of your important messages anyway. Servers do crash, data does get lost, and backups are only as good as the last backup.

I use the "Email to myself" option. You get this option when you open a message in the inbox.
This way you have a copy in your mail program.
I now do that when i open a new message, and then delete the oldest to have a maximum of about 20 messages in the inbox.
Had the PM box full problem before, i need to keep it clean to avoid that.

Even though the option was right under my nose, I was totally blind to it!

Problem solved I can now receive PMs once again!
