Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi All,

Has anybody tried to get the maximite connected to the internet using either a shield or something like the electric imp, to control things over web? Here is a pic if you have not seen it yet...

I was eager to find out what the electric imp was, when it was in development.
Soon as i found out that you need a hosted service i lost all interest.
Still if you don't mind a dependency it is a nifty thing.
I would like to try out a few wifi and wired ethernet modules to get an internet connection.
Most of them just use a serial port.

Microblocks. Build with logic.

I have in the past used RN-VX or wifly. With a few external parts I was able to factory reset and configure the wifly for my network on startup. With some simple string parsing I was able to create a slow but simple, 1 client, html server. Handy for simple remote control and remote sensing.
