Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

The TFT Maximite might have a problem. In the schematic of the TFT version, pin(20) is connected to pin 11 of the PIC32. In Geoff schematic pin(20) is connected to pin 17 of the PIC32. That's why pin(20) is not working. So don't use pin(20). Maybe Carsten Meyer can tell us more. Edit : I have cut the trace to pin 11 of the PIC32 en connected pin(20) to pin 17 of the PIC and all is working well now. Still have shaking hands, LOL. Started with LNW80. |

Hi Wajkaj I think you found a bug in the TFT circuit I built mine using Mick's UBW32 adapter so this error was not present in my build Regards Jman |

So, Is the version 3 schematic correct but the board layout had the error..? I would like to get a few of these ready to go 5" panels but could never get through the web site... I built one up like jaman did with the UBW32 and seems to work ok... Johan, did you get yours on the site..? I hope somehow we can get ahold of the updated ones when they come out... Thanks for the info..!! |

Zonker, I bought it at Segor Electronics at their site. The fault is already in the schematics of V1.3. Not a big deal, if you can handle a small soldering iron and a small knife, then you can fix it yourself. Mine is working fine now and i am happy with it. With the help of the demo programs it is easy to make a program yourself. I tested the TFT-maximite with Don's Test-a-mite. Good and handy board. Johan. Started with LNW80. |

Johan, so as I understand it you purchased the tft maximite from segor and pin 20 doesn't work on their unit. I would also like to get a tft MM but I need to use COM 2 (which uses pin 20) so this would be a problem for me. I wonder, can someone tell me if the problem could be fixed by changing the pin assignment in the source code and then update the tftMM with the new software? Maybe segor could provide a modified update for their units? Greg. |

Sorry, this issue cannot be fixed in the firmware. You will have to modify the board. Geoff Geoff Graham - http://geoffg.net |

Thanks Geoff, I'll hold off ordering one from segor for now. There is a thread regarding this issue here, it's in German but Google translate does a reasonable job. |

The newest version of the TFT Maximite with the pin 20 problem fixed will be availible mid April, heres a quote from Segor.de when I emailed them. For English speaking folks like me the easiest way to order one is to email them directly to place an order, the website is in German and various translate sites don't seem to do a good job of translating it. I talked with Segor when I was in Berlin two weeks ago. He also mentioned that some connectors will be moved to the edge to be more accessible No plans about a custom housing They have a plain plastic/aluminium box where they cut out the display for demo Nice shop, with a zillion parts on stock and very helpful guys there ! |
