Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi all,

It's been a while since I last posted here and it's been a hard work since then.

I just wanted to announce the new firmware release for the DTX2-4105C (or as recently renamed ICeemite) module. This one is a major release and it comes with new features such as power control, string similarity function, etc. and well as many small improvements in the original MMBasic.

Thanks to Geoff's kind support by providing the original documentation sources, now this release finally comes with proper documentation and built-in bootloader.
Has been built and tested on the ICeemite, but should also work on other MM-mono boards. If someone give it a run on some other board, please share results.

The release can be downloaded FROM HERE

This release comes just at the same time as the release of the new DTX2-2800C slave module as well...

Regards,
Kon

Great work Kon!

Is there anything I need to be aware of before trying this firmware on a DM?

The multithreading looks like it could be handy. I have no experience with this style of programming but I look forward to giving it a try.

Unfortunately it most probably won't work on a DM as it has quite a few differences from the original MM...
The threads are a new inclusion and will keep developing in future. It was (and still is) a lot of work there because the MMBasic as such wasn't initially thought to have these capabilities.

PS.

Just discovered that the bootloader wasn't included in the yesterday's hex file. Sorry about that.
If someone has downloaded it, please download it again now. That has been fixed.

Totally Will not and was not intended to work on a DM.
