Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Is the board available fully stuffed (including all header-pins etc.)? |

Not yet. I don't want to have to manage a bunch of versions with different stuffing options. I think I'll see what the best option is and offer that. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

Looks sexy. Can you still buy the original version, or are they now going to be replaced by the version 2 board? The only reason I ask, is that I already use the cute little RS232 interface module that comes pre-installed on the V1 board. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Shhh don't tell anyone, but the RS232 chip is actually populated on the new board, too. The reason was that there was an error in the library part when the CGCOLORMAX2 was designed. I felt it would be easier to populate the part at the factory than to explain how to populate the part after purchase. The CGCOLORMAX2 replaces the CGCOLORMAX1. Okey dokey, thanks. I see you have a different SD card holder in the new design - is this one a push-in-push-out type? ...not that it really matters, I have no issues with the SD card holder on the V1 board, I am just curious. Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Yes. Push in, push out. Also has the detect so that MMBasic knows when the card is changed. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

Just got done orderin-up the C-Max-2 but noticed one thing about the Rs-485 chip. Like the C-Max-1, the RE pin on the chip is at ground. This will put everything you transmit right back in the Rx buffer. The RE and DE pins should be tied together so this dosn't happen. Maybe I'm wrong about this.... but will try it out soon... Thanks CG..!!! |

Is there a box availible for the C-Max-2? The website shows Also a question using the CGKEYCHIP1. If I want to plug in a keyboard occasionally, do I need to disconnect the CGKEYCHIP1 first or can I connect both simultaneously, CGKEYCHIP1 on the provided header and keyboard into the PS2 port? Greg |

The box will also work with the CGCOLORMAX2. I'll add that to the list of changes to make, thanks! I've tested the CGKEYCHIP1 with PS2 keyboards - they will work together. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |
