I should be recieving my Color Maximite this week so I can test it with my Max-Man.

But, I think the problem may be that the Colormax boots in an 8 colour mode which utilizes more memory, hence Max-man (which was tight already) runs out of RAM.

The fix possibly is to add a line to the Max-Man BASIC code at the start to set the Colormax to a b/w mode the same as the original Maximite.

I would become recieving my Color Maximite immediately in order to test that together with my Max-Man.

However, I do believe the challenge could be how the Colormax shoes or boots in the 8 color setting which usually uses far more memory, therefore Max-man (which was tight already) runs out of RAM.

The particular correct quite possibly is to give a line on the Max-Man Simple signal from the beginning setting the Colormax with a b/w mode the same as the unique Maximite.

Hi Sinclair,

I am sorry I am not quite sure what you are trying to get at above...

Yes the CMM has less available memory due to the colors but I am not sure what you are proposing.

Are you suggesting adding a line to MaxMan to set the BW mode?

Regards,

Mick

Hi Mick

I added the command 'MODE 1' to the start of the maxman program.

It ran OK on my Colour maxi.
