Well, I have brushed up a little math in assembler for dsPics and submitted an article to Circuit Cellar; it will be in the October issue. I suspect a gremlin caption for listing one may have got through (my fault), but apart from that I'm happy with it... I didn't think the other publications would be interested, so I'm grateful to CC for the chance. The routines described run on '802s and generic eg the sparo board etc posted before, cheers |

Thanks! The Oct issue is released now. I am wondering what the next stage should be now though... quantitative stuff is unpopular even though it is a cornerstone. I had a chat to a Microchip engineer at the Electronex show a few days ago, and he made the excellent point that connectivity is critical now as devices assume network (read: tcp/ip and internet) data transfer.. (and that, in turn, often morphs into using complex multitasking OS's). It jogged my memory of me asking at an Apple store re the apple USB direction, and the reply that they see wifi and bluetooth as replacing USB.. and the convenient zombie of rs232 persists still !! What is a good aiming point ??! |
