I have just set up a model boat with electric drive using a very smart motor controller from Pololu for a brushed DC motor. See http://www.pololu.com/catalog/category/53. Their Simple Motor Controllers are tiny but do so much. The one I am using is the smallest, up to 24V at 7A, but they go up to 40V at 23A. Control inputs available are not only standard RC pulses but also USB, TTL and analogue and the output is highly configurable via USB. Amazing little devices, not at all expensive and readily available by mail from USA. Thought you might be interested as they could easily be interfaced to MM or one of its clones. Cheers, Hugh |
