I need a list of project highlights for the Maximite. This can include software and hardware. I've started my list with my MaxMan game. Also, the interfacing Atari and Nintendo Nunchucks but there are many more so please send me a list things you can think of. I need it for an article submission I am writing for Silicon Chip. If they like it, hopefully it will be published. Nick |

Nick, I have a whole bunch of apps and links. They are basically all done on DuinoMite platforms. Of course, they will all run on a MaxiMite platform anyway with little or no modification. If they are suitable, I can gather up a full listing. Here are some of them: http://www.duinomite.com/duinomite-4x3-keypad-on-1-analog-pi n/ http://www.duinomite.com/maximite-duinomite-and-simmstick/ http://www.duinomite.com/serial-communication-between-two-du inomites-a-tutorial/ http://www.duinomite.com/duinomite-magnetic-fileds-with-mod- mag/ The first application in this list has been written using MMBasic V3.2 which Geoff, wrote specifically for the DuinoMite platform. Hi Nick Great idear In reference to the library files on Geoff's site there are several projects you could possibly use i.e. Coil Winder Invaders Analogue Clock Magic Box etc. I am shore if you contacted Hugh he could put you in contact with projects originators if additional information is required. Whats the deadline for this Nick? I do have a solar charge controller I've been working on for some time, its pretty much done but I'm waiting on a numeric keyboard to arrive to finish it off, and then I can take a photo and write about it. Its going to control a 48v battery bank and 2100w of solar panels, and display a bunch of info on a screen. Hi Nick, Are you accepting DM projects as well or is it MM specific? I am working on a digital thermometer driving an 8x8 LED display which will ultimately morph into a Gas heater controller. The problem is that I use the SHIFTOUT command for the LED display and I dont think that is available on the MM. The first article is more or less introductory so I don't need much detail about the products. I'd like to put news of what's going on in the Maximite community. I will be mentioning the DM. I'd like to mention the progress with the firmware updates and also the development of colour to the Maximite. I will focus on the Maximite since it was what was featured originally from Silicon Chip and also because I'd like to promote the Maximite as an Australian developed product. It's only 1 page worth at this point to try sell the idea to Silicon Chip as a recurring column. Fingers crossed. Nick |

Hi Nick, Like I said before, if Silicon Chip decide not to run a Maximite column, its worth asking Nuts&Volts or Servo if they would be interested. Mike. |

I'd like to see a serious 3D Printer or XYZ Table drive system for cadcam. I have a stepper working on an Arduino now using the Easy Driver ($14 ea.). I'm going to try and move the testing over to the Maximite (I have a duinomite-mini) soon. It should take gcode on a SD card and drive a three axis device, router, plasma cutter, RepRap, etc. I know it would be nice to dump the file from the computer to the maximite or duinomitemini over the USB but I'd be happy with sneaker net for now. Nick I've updated another post with photos of the Maximite driven solar charge controller. http://www.thebackshed.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4588&PN =1&TPN=3 The combination of a Maximite, little composite screen and numeric keyboard is hard to beat for this sort of application, especially considering the total cost is about $70 for the lot.
