Please can anyone tell me if the CGMMSTICK, and it's associated MMIDE, will be updated from MMBasic 2.7 to 3.2? |

The CGMMSTICK1 can be loaded with the newest MMBasic (the normal Maximite compatible release) easily. You just need to follow the firmware update routines. Most of the MMIDE is fine with MMBasic 3.2. Only the Edit capability isn't supported. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

Apart from having to invest more development time in the already excellent MMIDE, is there any other reason why the CGMMSTICK is not shipped with a more recent version of MMBASIC? |

There was a large production run of CGMMSTICK1 boards produced. They were all programmed when produced and loaded with the firmware that was current at the time. Next run will use newer firmware. There is little connection between MMIDE development and the firmware, other than MMIDE works with MMbasic 3.0+. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

Thanks for the CGMMSTICK update. Just wish that this product generated as much interest in the educational sector as the over-hyped Raspberry Pi seems to be doing. The Stick is mechanically more suited to breadboard experimentation and Basic is the perfect 'Beginners' language. |

Thanks! Yes, the CGMMSTICK1 doesn't have the flash of the Pi, but it does what embedded systems are supposed to do. The Pi seems to be a PC pushed to be an embedded device. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |
