Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I sent Glenn an email about a potential server problem earlier this morning, but I am finding more problems. Glenn shifted his server recently.

If I check someones profile for previous files and links posted, I get server errors. Anyone else seeing this?

404 - File or directory not found.

I first noticed the problem when I did an edit on a post, and found my time zone was set to GMT, not +10 in my case.

OK I've fixed that 404 error on members previous posts.

I also removed the members files list. It was never a good idea to add it in the first place I feel. I know many of the files/images I've uploaded are not used in posts, either they were the wrong photo, a test photo, etc. And I've see the same in other members upload folders, lots of images that relate to nothing. I figure if a members wanted people to see a photo, it would be in a post, and since forum doesn't have a delete option, members have no way to remove a photo they uploaded by mistake. So its better not to list them all.

The time zone thingy. It looks like the server is set to GMT, which is probably a good idea for web sites with a international audience.

What is GMT
GMT Converter

When the site was hosted at my place it was set to GMT+10, my local time zone. You can set your time offset in your forum preferences. Since its 0 by default, and many of us live on the east side of Australia, no one noticed.

To change your time offset, click on Settings ( top of page ), then Edit Profile, and scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see the Time offset from forum time settings. Adjust to suit and click Update Profile.
