Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Interesting. I also had a board around 1996 that used a switch to get from program mode to run mode, without moving the micro: http://www.dontronics.com/dt001.html Started off using a PIC84 also, but was upgradable to all reprogrammable PICs. Cheers Don... https://www.dontronics.com |

I still have a couple blank DT106 boards in my cabinent. I guess we go way back to the early PIC days don't we Don. Remember when Parallax accused you of that stuff with the Basic Stamp chip? I think I was kicked off their list at about the same time for talking about PICBASIC. Ah memories........... www.elproducts.com |

A switch? You were lucky. We used to DREAM of a switch. In our day, ... John with apologies to I think originally it was At Last the 1948 Show but everyone knows Monty Python did it (... we used to swap EPROMs, remember the 2708 etc?) |

this reminds me how I had to develop motor controller in 198x without debugger with these UV erasable devices, your burn 10 pcs with different versions of your code for few minutes, then you put them on the board, see that they do not work and then you bake them all for 20 minutes :) |
