Hi, When I start the MMIDE utility it takes about 30 seconds before I see the MMIDE display. When selecting the com port it takes another 6 seconds to recognize the port. Then I can use the application. Is there a new release? |

Is this the 2.0 version that does this? The version is in the title bar. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

The program build date is 2011-11-21. I don't see what you're pointing to? |

Download 2.0 and give it a try. I just posted about it in another thread. Click here: MMIDE 2.0 Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

Hi, MMIDE 2.0 takes 40 sec to load and 10 sec to select a different port. |

I'm really not sure what approach to take to solve this for you. In my machine it is about 5 seconds to start up. I'm running a Win7 64 at 2.8 gig with 8 Gig RAM. My development machine. I would imagine that other machines perform differently, but the program is small compared to other applications. Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

I have an HP desktop, 3.3 ghz, 8mb memory (W7) and an HP laptop(Vista). Both exhibit the same problem as described. |

I didn't get a chance to try MMIDE2 on a decent PC, as I am now stuck in Darwin with an EEEPC Intel Atom N270 1.6g and a DM-mini to try it on. I feel the EEEPC hasn't got enough grunt to do much, as I can't fully load a program with MMIDE, MMIDE2, or TerraTerm. It locks up after about two lines of code. But on this notebook, MMIDE loads in a second, and MMIDE2 in about 3 seconds. With MMIDE2, I was able to toggle the mini's green LED via Rob's menu system. When I get back, I'll try MMIDE2 on a decent system. Cheers Don... https://www.dontronics.com |

Thanks, Don. I wish it worked better for you on the EEE. I just ran it on an underpowered Win2000 and it was faster then on my development PC. elchucko: Are you running a virus program that scans executable programs before they are run? Micromites and Maximites! - Beginning Maximite |

Hi, I don't have any virus pgm scanning on either PC. I have Norton on one PC and System Suite on the other. |
