MMIDE Questions v 1.0

DuinoMite Mega
Firmware: 2.7 (Factory)
Patform: PC Win XP/SP3

Questions:

#1. On a DuinoMite Mega manual pushbutton reset or power on reset, the serial link, if connected hangs and locks up. Is this normal?
Shouldn't there be an auto serial disconnect?

#2. On Load to MM using the backspace to correct typos will flash the whole screen erractically on each backspace key entry. Is this normal?
Note: On small basic programs it doesn't flash but on larger programs it does?

Otherwise its a great program!

1) I would like to be able to detect loss of the serial port and do something about it. Unfortunately the driver just goes away and there is no signal to my program that it has happened.

2) There is a trade off, there. I allow the screen to roll back, which is the cause of the flashing. Perhaps I should just have a fixed and non-scrolling screen?

On MMIDE 1.0 "Save from MM" includes the "command prompt".

Only code with "line numbers" should be transferred from MM to the PC.

That was something I fixed and then broke. I'm still sitting on the newest version that SHOULD have it fixed again. I'll announce it here when I release it.

Not to nickpick ... since banging away at the keyboard for my application code, I came across some very annoying MMIDE problems. (Version 1.0)

#1. It seems that using the command CLS to clear the MMIDE window does not clear everything. It sometimes leaves text debris and/or garbage on the screen. (after a clear screen command) I have to do several CLS to clear it.

#2. There are sometimes a large abnormal delay going from one text menu to another. I figure at 30,000 - 40,000 lines per second execution for MMBasic there is something else going on? (Something is hanging the code execution in MMIDE)

Note: None of these problems shows up on the video console.

Otherwise, MMIDE is a great program!

Work is still continuing on MMIDE.

I will look into #1.

For #2, are you doing a CLS between your menus?

(Perhaps this all relates to a CLS issue...)
