(DM) Bytes left on drive A on DuinoMite Mega?

#1. How bytes are left on drive A on the DuinoMite Mega
using the standard factory release version 2.7 firmware?
I have 32,608 bytes left which seems very low?
Note: That is without any files saved on this drive!

Ken set it at 32K in the first version (factory), then 128K in the second.

@Don - ref. from Geoff site.

What do you make of these bugs?
I was able to confirm #1, #2 but not #3 yet.

#1 Version 2.7B was required to fix a bug in the virtual SD card storage?

#2 The RUN command will throw an error when you use a drive designator
(eg, "a:") to access a file on a drive that is not the default.

For example:
DRIVE "B:"
RUN "A:TST.BAS"
Will give an error.

While:
DRIVE "A:"
RUN "A:TST.BAS"
Will work as it should.

#3 Opening a flash file (drive A:) for APPEND will write incorrect
data to the file.

Hi Andy, as there is no V2.7b source available yet, I know I have not concerned myself about anything to do with Drive A:-B: operation, as I felt it will work itself out. Ken may know something more.

Cheers Don...

@KS ... So far ...

#1. Explain what RTC ON when boot?

#2. The SD status indication is flipped. <---<<<<
On reset it showed an error indicating there was NO SD.
Under setup it showed the SD card enabled?
Note: I had app which tries to access the SD on bootup using autorun.bas

#3. Someplace I read that you cannot have two consoles active
at the same time? You need to interlock the setup selections for U & C.

#4. What is com3 and com4? I have Uart2 on Uext, Uart5 on D0 & D1 and
Uart1 on D11&D12.

the rtc is for the olimex mod-rtc or a nxp real time clock
it will read the time at boot and set the maximite clock so you dont need a basic program to do that ..

ya i have a error on the sd card thing going to fix that tonight
and you can have video / usb /and serial consoles all at the same time ..
com3=uart2 com4=uart5 will add support for com1 and com2 the maxmite software uarts .

@KS
Had to "fallback" to the factory 2.7 firmware.
I could not access the files on drive b: and
the autorun did not work.

Back to 32,608 bytes on drive a:

are you using the new version posted ?
then your sound must be broken because it works for every one else
are you using the rca or 3.5mm
and are you using a mono 3.5mm because that will sort out the sound

using microchip v2.01 compiler on it so now sd cards that didn't work before work now and some don't know so working that out now .

We have tested using the file above, and both RCA and 3.5mm and it is working fine.
Mick tested 3.5, I tested RCA.

Here is the music file we tested it with:
http://www.themaximitecomputer.com/max/Programs/index.php?di r=Basic%2FMusic%2F

I too found the SD got lost on the latest version with some SD cards, so hopefully the recompile will fix this.

BTW.
My Sandisk 8gig stopped working also, load in the previous version, and it is fine. Found the same thing with a new card I got today. A 4Gb "TEAM" from TW.

That is the factory one David, no sound.

New one has sound and the "setup" menu, however there appears to be a compile problem, and some SD cards don't like it. It doesn't have KSD on it.

Ken hoped to get it going tonight his time, I think was his words.
