Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Don,

The specs for the New Mega-100 is awesome BUT since the DuinoMite Mega only started to ship in the last few weeks and customers are buying them now without a completed user manual then shouldn't there be a very high priority effort to complete the Mega docs for the present users?

If I was a prospective buyer of the DuinoMite Mega and saw the specs for a newer 100 pin version then I would probably hold off in buying the "standard version" and wait until the 100 pin version comes out.

You are really doing your customers a dis-favor by advertising a newer version. May I suggest that when the 100 pin version is completed with "all the proper docs", only then should this new version should be advertised to the general public. After all, the only main difference, between the two versions is Ethernet and more GPIO. IMHO - In my humble opinion.

I'll have to throw the question of the user manual over to Tsvetan Andy, as I believe he is creating one.

The reason he wanted to show what was possible now, was to allow users to give input into the design phase, as this isn't an ad for the new unit, it is to ask users their thoughts on what can be done, or what they would like to be done with it.

I read it the same as you Andy, Ethernet and more GPIO, but perhaps I am missing something.

Cheers Don...

One minute it's the eMega then the Mega-100.

They do need to write the user manuals. Think they're 3 or 4 behind :(

And I'm unclear where the source code for such as MMBasic and fairly oft-mentioned examples are. AWOL, I think.

I suppose the eMega / Mega-100 could be more like the MM except then it won't be as much like the DMs.... There again, maybe there will be so many pins that it won't matter.

Yeah - still no user manual, the samples for various boards aren't there (I see Mick et al have now done some), and that's 2.7 of Basic instead of 2.7B

No source for the firmware updater - will that be available please?

I was thinking of Don's post about the LCD & buttons. Your name looked to occur often here: http://www.themaximitecomputer.com/max/Programs/index.php?di r=Hardware%2FDontronics%2FLCD%2F

Thanks John,

Don sees me as his right hand man, he actually vouched for me at my current job, (Tabcorp, been there now over 26 years) He is long gone, I am still trapped in the employment rutt...

I tend to think of myself more as the litttle old fella who was Benny Hill's right hand man and Don keeps slapping me on the head. (boy have I got a headache)
