Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

I want to use my Maximite with my laptop as the terminal. Downloaded Terraterm but is a very old program and does not support USB. Anyone know of any free terminal emulator software.

Download TeraTerm then this works from your USB port direct to the MM. TeraTerm is supported by a scripting language that allows you to do a range of smart things.

You will need to configure as a serial port

Enjoy your MM

Terra Term V4.70 does support USB connections.
Your Maximite will show up as a COM port. Check in the Hardware manager to see which com port is the Maximite.

We could probably use a set of Terraterm set up instructions, with screen shots. Anyone up to it? I'll be happy to put it on the site as a page we can refer people to in the future, and see if Don wants to add it to his Maximite page as well.

Just adding to this, I have a user that is having trouble getting PUTTY to work.
Is there a set of instructions for this currently on the forum?
