Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi All, (wink at Geoff)

With all these new versions of MMBasic popping up, has someone kept the manual up-to-date?

It isnt a lot of good having all these new commands and enhancements and not knowing the syntax or what pins they apply to..

Not meant to critisise but as constructive comment.

Regards,

Mick

Hi Mick,

I have fallen into the habit of releasing a new version of the manual with each non test release. The version numbers match so MMBasic Ver 2.5 also had a new version of the manual (also Ver 2.5). Same with the source.

For each test release (with an alpha suffix. eg, 2.5E) I usually provide some notes on this forum or a README as it is much faster than preparing the full documentation.

As I seemed to have got most of the bugs with 2.5E I should be able to turn that into Ver 2.6 (with manual) in a few days or so.

Makes sense Geoff, I havent seen any manuals since the original one.. sample code would always be a good addition for every command ... espically so for `non standard basic' commands.

Where is the correct link for the latest manual?

regards,

mik

The latest one is always in my download section: http://geoffg.net/maximite.html#Downloads

Lately I have been also including the manual in each upgrade zip.

How useful for newbs (like myself) would it be if we in this forum could come up with a library of example code showing the usage of each of the keywords, features etc. with circuits? I would be willing to help out if we can agree on a format and first cab off the rank w.r.t an example. I may have a crack at a very first "Flash an LED, Debounce a button press" example...
