I think that the reason early computers had 2 floppy drives was because of the amount of disk space at the time was 360k or less. So a program disk was used and the second disk was used for saving data. But now that we have 32Gig SD cards to use, I personally can't see any need for a dual drive Maximite. I have my autorun.bas pointing to a directory on the SD card, and save any log files to the root directory.
Have you thought of just using two different directories?

Its easier to ask forgiveness than to seek permission!

Hi All,

2nd MMC/SD card is a VERY good idea.

But a MUCH simpler way is to:

Use card present input as a /CS for the 2nd SD card.

Write protect can even be repurposed as /CS for a 3rd SD card!

The driver needs to be taught to talk to one card at a time (not hard). And
the language(s) need to tell the driver which card they want to talk to.

My breadboard has 2 - SD cards for all the reasons already mentioned!

warm regards,
Wiz
