Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

That sounds like a Dontronics customer from south of the city!

Hi Frank, I figure you should be able to pick up both items for next to nothing at most cash converter type places, garage sales, perhaps small suburban computer shops, second hand places.

In fact they are nothing special. Any VGA monitor, and PS2 keyboard.

But all you need is a PC with USB support, and a terminal program, to start writing Basic code.

Cheers Don...

Sorry Frank, out of stock of the EV for about 3 or 4 weeks, but I would be starting with the full version anyway. For the difference in the cost, unless you wanted an EV for a specific application, I would be going for a full version.

And I think most of the forum users would agree.

I'm sure you will find a monitor and keyboard in your travels for nothing, or next to nothing sooner or later.

Where are others finding them?

I had them basically in my junk box, so I am assuming others have them too.

People who update to an LCD monitor, generally have some old CRTs hanging around, or ready to scrap.

I have two CRT monitors sitting in a shed that anyone can have if they want to come an pick them up.

I remember one cost me $700, but it is the way of the world.

Cheers Don...
