Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Forum Index : Microcontroller and PC projects : Available, a small herd of Maximites.

As many users on the Forum will know, I have been able to get a few of the new production boards out to you.

This is what I have left from the first new batch of 8 of each of the MM-EV, and MM-SM1:

http://www.dontronics-shop.com/the-maximite-computer.html

I know they won't last long, and I wanted to give The Back Shed Maxiteer members first crack at it.

Orders only through the shopping cart please. To do to it manually, is a bit of a nightmare.

Shipping Wednesday or Thursday. (Unless a package gets lost.)

Then we wait another 3 or 4 weeks for the first reasonable volume batch.

Cheers Don...

Brian, if you can send me an email instead of going via the Forum, it would be appreciated.

I can't keep the SM1s in stock, and people are now asking about the EV version as a replacement, and if it can be used as a full board version, so I have added this to the page:

http://www.dontronics-shop.com/maximite-ev-embedded-version. .html

This version has no keyboard connector, and no VGA connector. It is designed as an end product for applications developed on the Maximite Computer.

This EV board has the same Firmware as the full SM1 board version. It is only missing the keyboard and VGA connectors. If you look at the circuit, all the components are on the board, you just have to connect to the pads provided for the keyboard and VGA.

Schematic:
http://www.themaximitecomputer.com/max/Programs/
Then Select Hardware, then tctec

Hope this helps explain the situation.

Cheers Don...

Hi Sparkey.

The product page is at:
http://www.dontronics-shop.com/maximite-sm1.html

And all the information is linked from there.

However to check the schematic and jumper settings, this text and links are given on that product page:

Schematics and all other relevant files are available from:
http://www.themaximitecomputer.com/max/Programs/Hardware/tct ech/

However a much nicer entry to this directory listing is from:
http://www.themaximitecomputer.com/max/Programs/
Then Select Hardware, then tctec

Please let me know if you are having problem with this, and we will sort it out.

And if you end up making a list of what all of these jumpers do, then I'll add the list to my product page to assist other users.

As you know, you saw the product for the first time, about two hours after I did.

Like any new product, the on line data that goes with it, always needs to be fine tuned, to make it easier for the customer.

This is day one of the product.
