Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Decided to kick this off in a new thread, so it doesn't get lost in old threads that are similar, but don't specifically cover the question I need answered, and hopefully it will bring about a quick result. It will also help in any new searches I am sure, when it comes to Arduino and Shields. I have just spent a couple of frustrating hours installing free Gerber file viewers and downloading everything I can get my hands on that even looks like an Arduino Shield foot print. Richard (tctec) who is doing my board designs, is having similar problems. Question: Why does it appear to be so difficult to find the Arduino Shield foot print, when in must be used in hundreds, if not thousands of Shield designs. A nice B&W PDF file with the complete dimensions in inches is all we need. And I am sure people that etch and drill their own boards would like it too. Maybe I am old, and blind, and silly, (to say nothing about bald, fat, and ugly) but this should be simple. (Short, I forgot about short) Can anybody assist please and point my nose in the direction of a nice PDF file? Cheers Don... https://www.dontronics.com |

http://forum.sparkfun.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=22709 Richard just found one. Well in inches, which he doesn't like, but better than nothing. I always worked in inches, so it works for me. Both in a B&W PDF would still be nice Cheers Don... https://www.dontronics.com |
