Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi, Stumbled upon this. At a good price. CrowPanel It could potentially run MMBasic. Has Pico on board, LCD, SD card slot, battery charger, USB UART interface, as well as USB power. As small PCB with buttons and speaker would make it into a Game*Mite. I think 15 dollar is a good price. Volhout PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

Looks cool... Would it run Picomite MMBasic without changes? John |

Not sure.. MMBasic would run, but it may ha ve the dreaded MISO problem. And in hindsight, it is 320x480 so you cannot use framebuffers. So no Game*Mite. Too bad. PicomiteVGA PETSCII ROBOTS |

You can if you use the 'OPTION lcd320 on' which then only uses part of the screen. But who knows if it can use one of the standard screen drivers already included? |

I got 2040 and ili9488 480x320 and frame f works but it's 10 times slower than not using frame f. same code on ili9341 320x240 and using frame f is as fast as not. ie erase and redraw 16 sprites or use frame f and cls and just draw sprites then copy f to n Edited 2024-11-16 09:01 by stanleyella |
