Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Since I see there are people working with cell phones, you might be interested in something due for release in about two weeks from now. It has a PIC32MX150 (maybe will be running the 'mite someday), on board SIM card holder and a VERY cool quad band GSM module (I also distribute Neoway products in case anyone wants them "raw"). The module can be used with external processor as well. Also it has a step-up converter on board so it works directly on 3.3V power. Bee socket compatible (overall size about 35x25mm) and the price will be quite reasonable as well. Schematic can be downloaded from HERE Soon will post pictures as well. The modem AT commands file is also downloadable from my site. If anyone is interested in these, let me know Kon http://rittle.org -------------- |

Any movement on this? I have the ElecFreaks module, but I can't even get a response from it on the terminal, so not sure if it is a dud or what... EDIT: Got the module talking to the terminal at least, but still can't log onto the network. I suspect the SIM I am using is too old and has probably self-cancelled - it has not been used for about four years... Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |
