What do you guys use for your projects that require batteries ?

Lead acid

Lipo

Nicad

Nimh

AA alkaline: VARTA from Bunnings - Pkt 30
AA Nimh: Mixture of Sanyo Twicell 1600, Duracell 2650, Powertech 2500
SLA: Century PS Series 6v 2.8Ah from Battery World

Nimh charger: RadioShack Ni-Cd / Ni-mH charger checker conditioner computer controlled

Applications
RC model boats, TV remote, PDA

Hi Andrew

I have used these Lithium Ion rechargeables in serveral projects.
they are available in a number of sizes and voltages.
The basic battery - 18650 or 26650 are 3.7v.
single cells or combination of cells are available
here with capacities upto 8000mA/h.
