Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hugh, My brother and I built an EDUC8 when it came out in early 70's and we still have it and it is still operational!!! Mounted in a home made case with the C&K toggle switches on the front. For those of you who don't know it, it was an 8 bit serial machine with an instruction set loosly based on the PDP 8i. Memory was a single Fairchild 256 bit x 1 static ram. We had lots of fun with it and it was the entree for both of us to a lifetime of electronics and computers. Doug. ... almost all of the Maximites, the MicromMites, the MM Extremes, the ArmMites, the PicoMite and loving it! |

http://members.optusnet.com.au/hnmpb/educ8.htm shows my Educ8 around 1978. The case was never enclosed giving me access to the innards. I sold it when I bought a Trash80. Hugh |
