Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum, but am absolutely fascinated with the Maximite
micro-controller. (Thanks Geoff)

I have been trying to develop some code for an instrument panel for another single seat
helicopter.

My experience in basic is virtually nill, but have played with the Picaxe system for a while.
I have some code working based around the "GRAPH.BAS" that will display engine and main rotor rpm with temperatures/pressures etc.

After surfing the net for VGA displays, I came across this site-

http://stores.ebay.com/chinatobby/category485977719-/_i.html ?_fsub=485977719&_sid=1070328859&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

They appear to have one size for every occasion.

What size were you after Cam? Does it have to be VGA?

I know many members have purchase very cheap 3 and 4 inch "Video" monitors on ebay.

Most appear to wide screen. Will make the Maximite's 4:3 display really stretched horizontally.

I have several 15" and 17" 4:3 LCD monitors that I need to get rid of. Probably sell them $30 each + freight.

If there is any interest, I can take photos of what I have available and post it here.

My 8 inch VGA 800x600 lcd monitor turned up today.

It makes a beautiful instrument panel, but it has stretched the image horizontally with a gap at the bottom (about 1/2 inch).

I can position the image horizontally and vertically but can't adjust the vertical stretch.

Is there any way to convert the 480x432 to 800x600 (4:3)?

Thanks for your replies.

Cheers Cam.

If anyone is after a 4:3 aspect ratio LCD monitor, I have a few for sale that I had been stowing away just in case the end of the world happens and there are no 4:3 monitors left to run my Maximite of course.

I've come to the realisation (... wife's orders) that I must get rid of some of my treasures ("crap" in her words).

Pictured below are 3 x 17" LCD monitors (1280 x 1024 resolution) and the bottom one is a 15" LCD monitor (1024 x 768).

All have been tested and working fine. All bar the 3rd one down has built-in audio.

They're going onto ebay so if anyone here needs a 4:3 monitor for their Maximite, make me an offer.

(take into account, postage from Brisbane, Australia though)

Nick
