Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

This is the Helicorder. Note the first few traces of the moonwalk. I'll wait until there is more on the sheet then I'll post a better photo of the trace. Trevor Talbit |

Here's a happy snap of the two boards. I have done a complete run of the data I have. It looks okay but I'll re-do it with a larger gap between the traces on the drum recorder. This shoul allow me to up the size of the trace on the seismogram without it looking too messy. It runs for about 14 hours as previously calculated. Trevor Talbit |

This is probably now getting off the subject of the MM but this is a link to some very interresting info on the Apollo experiments. Open the link... http://honeysucklecreek.net/msfn_missions/ALSEP/ You can see Buzz Aldrin deploying the seismometer that sent the original data to earth. Click on the "ALSEP Essay by Hamish Lindsay" and you can see the copy of the original seismogram. My reproduction shows the same traces and continues on after the astronauts had entered the LEM. If you are an Apollo tragic like me you can salivate over this stuff. Others say "So what"!!! Regards Trevor Talbit |
