I'm wondering if a 100' PS2 cable will work on a Maximite to connect one of those numeric keypads that have been discussed here in other threads. Does anyone have experience running long PS2 extension cables with keyboards or keypads on a Maximite? Does the MM had sufficient power for such a long PS2 cable? We're all here 'cause we're not all there. |

May have over stepped the character count. Try this. http://tinyurl.com/8cgznz6 I think you would be very lucky to have this work over this distance Peter. I have run centronics printer cables 25 feet successfully. If I recall, at least one of the lines on the PS2 is bi-directional, so even a TTL to rs232 converter each end wouldn't work. Reminds me of an ebay purchase I made for a 50 foot USB cable some years back. It didn't work either, even though it was manufactured and sold. I guess at the price, it may be worth a shot if that is what you really need. Don... https://www.dontronics.com |
