Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

If any one is interested, I have a put a 16-bit widget driver
at www.hydrazoic.info ... It is an embedded script interpreter
that runs in dsPics, the '802 version gives a serial port, 14 i/o lines,
and two analogue. It is not meant to be a microcomputer, but has
convenient goodies
It has a minimal footprint and runs on a small single-sided pcb,
with mainly ordinary components from Altronics/Jaycar/Futurlec.
A pcb that provides a microchip usb link is working well, I am
adding some protection for the analogue lines though.
cheers all

Very interesting.
When I get a chance, I'll try this out.
I'm thinking of trying to implement it on a Microchip Microstick.

I can't find out much info about the Microstick, as far as I know it
has a separate debug/emulate pic to connect to MPLAB for C
development. It would be good if serial was passed through
to a running program, the Microstick II page hasn't much detail
though
cheers
