Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Has your MM ever failed? Seems mine has become unstable after being powered off for 3 months. Using Tera Term the MM only displays the cursor. On occasion it will display the "Geoff banner" after loading Tera Term but it takes a few seconds before it does display. I can type in program instructions which do execute i.e.,print "a", etc. I can't display any programs loaded to the sd card. I can't load any program. Ideas? Thank you.

P.S.
Seems like there has been some changes to the support of the MM. Any new forums that cover the subject?

Hi El Chuck,

Try it on either composite video or VGA with a PS2 keyboard , if it works fine it s likely to be USB related, if the same it may be a dry joint around the pic cpu ..

I seem to remember that you have the SM1 variety, have you added the extra cap across the power supply caps, not sure off hand which ones but you need to put a 22 uf cap across the smt caps that are conncted to the pic chip. Information is in this forum some where if you think that might be the case.

Regards,

Mick
