Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

In light of recent discussions, I've decided to make a few changes to this part of the forum. I've updated the guidelines to include.... As of January 2012 this forum is no longer to be used for Maximite or Duinomite support questions. If you have a firmware bug, want to make a suggestion, etc, then you need to contact the support person or place for your microcontroller module. I've added a list to the bottom of this post. This forum is here for members who want to share or need help with a microcontroller based project, be it a software application or hardware. Its not here to discuss open source verses closed source, why a controller lacks a feature, etc. Any such posts or posts that I see could cause a flame war will be removed. Support: PicAxe : http://www.picaxeforum.co.uk/forum.php Maximite : Email Geoff at projects@geoffg.net, web site http://geoffg.net/index.html Duinomite : http://www.kenseglerdesigns.com/cms/forums/index.php CGMMSTICK : http://www.circuitgizmos.com I would like to add duino and pic, but not sure what the best forum or support contact would be. Any suggestions? Basically this web site and forum is for people to share their projects and ask for advise. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience here, use it for good. The forum is NOT here for people to express their views about a particular microcontroller, its designer, and any recent events. Basically, if your making something with your micro, we want to hear about it, but if you want to complain about the lack of a feature, a bug, or the current state of firmware updates, then please dont post it here. I will try to spend more time reviewing the posts and remove as needed, but my day job takes priority. Also, some people have made comment about how the Maximite and clones have sent a lot of traffic to this web site and I should be grateful. Not so, the web site is bigger than that and has been around for much longer. Below is a graph of the visitors per day for the last 2 years. You will see a steady growth, with similar shape from one year to the next. Christmas is always slow, a couple of cyclones in 2010 explain the dips there, and the spike in late September 2011 was not the Maximite, it was when someone posted a link to my petrol motor driven alternator article on the Hack a Day web site. Income from the advertising on the other hand is all over the place, but does not reflect visitor number growth. This it typical these days, there is no money in web site advertising, but it pays the bills. What I am trying to say here is the Maximites/Duinomites/PicAxes etc are part of this forum because I have a interest in them, nothing more.
