There's a design contest starting on 28th November utilising the DesignSpark chipKIT. http://www.chipkitchallenge.com/ There's limited samples available to entrants. With so much interest in this area forum participants can demonstrate their ideas and win a share of the prises. |

I wish they had a little more detail on the "energy efficient design" aspect of the contest. I mean, if I don't power it and put it in a freezer so that it uses zero power, I win right? energy efficient with linear voltage regulator which sink 5mA quiescent current? i.e. 250 times more current is wasted due to the poor power supply design than the PIC32 itself in low power mode |
