Thanks to Florin which sent me a link, I found this "Arduino" board with a lot of peripherals. I like the idea and presentation and in my opinion it have a great educational value. The connections between microcontroller pins and the peripherals on board are made with DuPont wires. Freeduino board. Though, a little bit expensive, but the idea is great (it can be made at home).

Thanks Vasi, nice board. Took me a little while to work out the gist of it. It is an AVR-ATMEGA8 Arduino board, with the shield foot print, plus the projects surrounding this nucleus. Which means each "Rich Board" must be designed with the micro type being specified. I wonder if a "Rich Board" shield without the micro would have been more useful, meaning it could be any suitable AVR or PIC family micro for that matter. What do you think? Hi Don, I'm used to that concept (see the image, a PIC18F2550 connected to the peripherals from an AVR board), and I also thought to a such board but this is the link sent by Florin to me: http://microcontrollershop.com/product_info.php?products_id= 3920 I started to design an universal board for Microchip microcontrollers but stopped due to lack of time and other priorities... For the board from the first post, just replace the area where is implemented Arduino board with a different set of peripherals and you have a special kind of "breadboard" ready for experiments and learning. As you said, of course. This is best working with breadboard type boards (as MiniMaximite) which will be inserted in a final motherboard made for a specific application.
