At Last, a decent set of DuinoMite schematics.

Mick Gulovsen has gone to the trouble of splitting the DuinoMite-Mega schematics, into 3 parts at A4 size. He then came up with a much better set of colours, and produced a jpg output.

I found them awkward to print as jpgs, so I converted to PDF files, and have posted them to:
http://www.themaximitecomputer.com/max/Programs/index.php?di r=Hardware%2FDontronics%2FOlimex%2FDuinoMite-Mega%2F

If you can print these three pages out in colour, then laminate them, you will have a very nice set of working schematics.

Mick intends to do all of the other Dynamite schematics as well.

Cheers Don...

[quote=Olimex]I still believe the all-in-one schematic on our web is better as
the PDF is searchable i.e. you can search signals and track them very easily than to
look at the split jpgs

Fair comment Tsvetan,

What you say is very true, but from a couple of old codgers with poor eyesight, we both find we can follow the schematics as a smaller useable size on a sheet of A4 paper, with colours that are easier for us.

I think this is an individual choice, and my subject matter was worded a bit harshly.
I'll chastise myself with a severe chas.

That may be in a PDF, and the PDF is still available and untouched... but when printed out I dont know of any way of `searching' for text on printed schematics...

The reason for the split is to have decent readable A4 sized schematic printouts

Mick

Hi all
Question re Duinomite.
I have this unit and a input output board, i notice the i/o board connects to a socket labeled EXT1, but there is the UEXT that has a identical socket. I guessed correctly as it turned out thar as UEXT is documented for over uses that we must use EXT1.
Looking though schematics I see they are for a Mega version, no mention of EXT1
What would happen if the I/o board is accidently connected to UEXT?

Hi Herb,

It only occurs on the standard DM board.

The socket to the left is the IO board connection, EXT1.
The socket to the right is the UEXT one, and used for all IO boards that make use of this serial interface.

We have our first one running now:

A DM manual is being written that will cover this and other items, however I have placed documentation on the product page now, so that other users won't be confused.

Don,

I think this needs some clarification, I believe you need to put a sticker on the I/O port so that it sticks out like dog's ... well lets just say they stick out.

Also do you want a photo showing the I/O board plugged in?
