Hi. I've just purchased an EV and am eagerly awaiting it's deliver. Already have started to code as I know the old TRS-80 code very well. However I seem to be going around in circles trying to find the documentation for it. Can anyone help? or will it be with the product. Take Care Dave Coding Coding Coding.. Hi. Yes - it is the TcTec unit. I did go to the TcTec website and there was no mention of the board. Was there a problem with the board? Or is Don holding out for the Mini-Maximite Many thanks Dave Coding Coding Coding.. Keep those keyboards coding.. RAW CODE!!!!! |

Hi Dave, The Dontronics EV is 100% software compatible with the standard Maximite. It just doesn't have the KBD and VGA connectors. The schematic is a little different. Once the SM1s and EVs are gone, I don't plan on manufacturing any more, however if there appeared to be a call, then we may have to look at it. The real problem is the DuinoMite Mini for example, is about half the price of the SM1 boards, and it looks like closer to a third of the price of the Altronics kit, if the $89.95 price is to be believed. I rang Altronics up to see which price is correct, and I can get the kit for $79.95 via the shopping cart, however they have removed the big bold red text about kits being available in July and August. BTW DuinoMites are in Australia. I just have to get my hands on them. Cheers Don... https://www.dontronics.com |

if yo want to add a rtc its possable as if you see the picture on this topic i acully have it mounted on top of a blown smi which i modded to run vga ket board and the rtc ...U11..was the origanal setup input for the rtc ig nore this connector as it is not wired to the chip correct pins remove the two 2.7 k resistors next to U11 dont use this in put as the rtc wires have to go to the pins on the 26 way hedder ....you dont have to cut any tracks just if you get one of thaose already made boards rtc that is there is a lot of documentation "on the rtc posts if you really get stuck just post here and i will look at how i did it and so but read the posts first.... technicians do it with least resistance |
