i have a usb connection to the maximite. one of the commands of MMBasic is 'cls'. this is supposed to clear the video display screen and place the cursor in the top left corner according to the manual. i find this command is not working. the 'run' command to run a program is working o.k. the screen quickly gets cluttered when trying out different programs so it is imperative to be able to clear the screen. does anybody know why this command does not work? |

Hi Peter When you say "screen" do you mean the VGA(or Composite) screen plugged into the Maximites video out port, or, do you mean the terminal screen on your computer thats connected to the Maximite via the USB? Hi Peter, The CLS and cursor posititioning does not work on the USB terminal... If you had a VGA or composite screen connected you would see the screen clear. Regards, Mick Mick's uMite Stuff can be found >>> HERE (Kindly hosted by Dontronics) <<< |

In the latest version the CLS command also clears the terminal window. download and update to the 2.7A firmware should solve your problem. Andrew |

I'm putting a second for what Andrew said. I've had no problems using the MM VGA or using HyperTerminal! Currently using Ver 2.7b Its easier to ask forgiveness than to seek permission! ............VK6MRG.............VK3MGR............ |
