Hello everyone. I want to make a potter's wheel. Motor is from the washing machine direct drive. I think this is progressive. I have rewired the windings, the motor is running and the powerful torque makes me happy. But not completely. Because without halls, my controller does not work correctly. And the torque can be more with halls. How to place these hall sensors, I do not know. Therefore, I ask for help. If possible, explain the principle of the installation of sensors. I know a little theoretically that the halls should be installed at the beginning of each phase. Winding from here Winding from here my configuration 36Pole 6X2C Please, show me in the picture where to put these three halls! |

God, its been 6 years! I dont remember. this is the original hall pcb placement the arrow at the bottom is showing the clip, you should be able to find the groove between the coils. How that relates to your modified stator ???. I could try to find some of my old notes but I am fully booked this week with work and wont be home. I'm confused, no wait... maybe I'm not... |

And how many sensors do you have? I have no original board. There should be three sensors on this rewinding wire. And my phases start in different places with the original. I think there are two versions of the place, they are shown in the picture in red and green colors: picture from www.thebackshed.com/windmill/FPRewire.asp I will test my theory on Monday or Tuesday, when my turner brings me a new shaft. |
