Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Added a page about rectifier basics. Nothing special, just a bit of info for anyone who has never used or understood a rectifier. http://www.thebackshed.com/Windmill/articles/Rectifiers.asp I wanted to keep it simple, but I might add more info later on voltage drop, peak reverse voltage, etc. Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. It looks to cover the basics pretty well, and easy to follow. I did post some cro waves on AC and rectifiered DC recenetly but your diagrams show the same information. I have had some not great results with car alternator rectifiers, as the later model ones seem to have low voltage diodes in them, and have a habit of blowing up with over 40 volt. Pete.
