Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Near Eidsvold, Queensland.
Magnitude: 5.2 (ML)
Depth: 17 km
Wide awake after being awoken by violent shaking at 2:00am. The house is relatively new on steel stumps and swayed nicely with lots of rattling. Was it an explosion, a tree down, a storm? All very quiet now with only the birds calling. A Google search revealed the source just 90km away. The house passed its flood test (Bundaberg 2013), now the earthquake test.
Back to bed now, big day tomorrow.

I'm out west of Toowoomba, didn't feel anything here but that might explain why the dog wanted to climb onto my bed at 2am.

The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now.
