Greetings, I found a interesting project on youtube for a Gravity wheel. The project looks like it works until a battery pack runs down. I was thinking about building a small prototype and attaching small HAWTs to charge a capacitor and use that power to trigger a solenoid to push the counter weight during critical parts of the rotation. Comments welcome...

Large Gravity Wheel

Gravity never turns off. Fabricate a large Gravity Wheel that uses a small motor to make it operate. Use a small solar panel array and wind turbine to charge a small battery bank so the Gravity wheel will run 24 hours a day. Increase the mass on the Gravity wheel to run large PMA. Would it create a 24 hour a day power source greater than the total power created by the solar and wind turbine used to operate the Gravity Wheel???? Use gravity as a power multiplier????????

Its a bit like pumping water into a tank with a hole in the bottom, if you pump hard enough you will fill the tank, but sooner than later the tank will drain out and you will need to use more energy to put the water back into the tank.

Although if you move to the moon the idea just might work.

Hi, thanks for input.
Gravity assisted power VIDEO

How about a machine using multiple pendulums? Use a small amount power to keep the pendulums moving a shaft in one direction??? Not a over unity project...

That could have some merit, it uses an external power supply, compressed air or natural gas. So its basically an engine, and possibly a very efficient one.

Hi, basic concept drawing. Using over run clutch so the pendulum will have a load on the first half of the cycle. No load on the return cycle. Gear drive transmission on a F&P will be used for the project.Comments welcome

Over run clutch video

Not a over unity project, it is a gravity assisted pendulum electricity generation project.

No wind no power, no sun no power, no gas no power, gravity is always on...
I am not sure if I can get the project to work but it is fun to think about.

Hi, I started fabrication. I am hoping to do some basic testing in a few days.

I admire your commitment and the work you put in, although i think you could be flogging a dead horse.

One trick worth knowing, that you might need.
By un-doing the nut on the rotor it will move the magnet hub outwards from the stator, and this reduces the load on the drive input, but also reduces current output.

Its a trick used by the hydro guys in times of low water flow, and a little bit of something is better than a stalled system making nothing.

I think you would want to screw the hub all the way off the stator but leave it in the spline as a flywheel when you first try to run the gravity motor, then if it works well, slowly screw the hub nut in on the F&P moving the rotor in further over the stator poles, this will increase the loading on the alternator, and allow you to see what power can be generated without overloading the gravity motor.

My guess is it will be a nice construction of a art piece that didnt work as you had hoped. (i have a few too)

Pete.

Hi, thanks for the information. I am able to do same thing using a buck converter and adjusting the duty cycle. I am adding a large flywheel so the device will act like a bicycle and the pendulum will replace the rider. This is just a quick test fixture so some basic observations can be made. Than if I can find away to shift the weights on the flywheel at the right time during the rotation it should act like a pendulum operated gravity assisted motor.

Gravity motors, not something to be trifled with.

It is rumored that the great mechanical genius Henry Hoke lost his life after a horrendous gravity motor accident.
Reportedly stray gravity waves excited some depleted unobtainium and caused him severe radiation burns when a radiation safety shield was accidentally left unlatched during a trail run of his random excuse generator.

His father Silas Hoke (chemist) tried to save him with a tonic of pure de-ionised dihyrogen monoxide but alas, it was too little to late for poor Henry.

The police still have this "accident" on there books as a suspicious death. When the machine was inspected in the lab it was found that the Credibility Gap adjustment mechanism had been completely bypassed starting the whole catastrophe.

Unfortunately Henry's detailed plans were destroyed in the accident, it has taken Australian scientists decades to rebuild the motor.

Finally it is starting to come together, random excuses will become reality once more.

rotative beam video

Hi, attaching the pendulum to the main drive shaft using a overrun clutch produced poor results. I have fabricated a rotative beam and updated the concept drawing. I have to modify the beam and offset the pivot point. suggestion welcomeEdited by govertical 2013-07-26

A Random Excuse Generator, I am pretty sure I had one of them when I was still in high-school. It was used constantly when homework was due :)

Call it anything you like, its money for nothing = BS.

Instead of wasting your time on this rubbish, why not build a small windmill?

Or you could find a stone and see if you can extract blood from it, you might have more success.

A 1 watt solar panel off a kids toy will produce more power than this contraption will ever make.

4 stroke to steam conversion

Hi, I am putting the gravity power project on the back burner. I started a steam project. I converted a 4 stroke to run on air and now I need boiler. Hoping to complete project before it snows.

modified cam with JB Weld

First attempt at steam, suggestions welcome
