This has probably been done before but I thought I may as well do a show & tell.

I have always found it hard to find my way to the throne during the night so I rigged up an old solar garden light to shine through the fly wire at the top of the throne room window.

The pics tell the story but all I did was to unsolder the LED from the garden light; attach a length of light wire in its place & attach the led to the other end.

Placed the PV panel & workings on the roof above the throne room window & ran the wire & LED down to the window & shone it through the fly wire.

It gives out enough light to be able to find my way to the throne without collecting walls & door frames on the way.

This shows the LED shining through the fly wire on the inside

The old solar workings bolted to the roof, note I slotted the holes for easy removal.

I've got few garden lights and I noticed that after prolonged clement weather especially in winter, garden lights sometimes fail to light up at all, or work for very short time in the evening.

Do you have plan B for your dunny access bumping problem?

No need for a plan B up here in Karratha, if we get a cloudy day its a pleseant suprise.

No doudt when I finaly move south things may be different.
