hi,
is it possible to run a modified f & p motor at a lower voltage (the batteries charged from my f&p wind gen.) for powering an electric scooter or buggy etc.

Yeah its possible, but its not easy. You need a special controller, which will either be expensive or very time consuming to build from scratch. It is much much much easier and cheaper to buy a high power scoota motor and controller. Pigs might fly but i would not like to see a washing machine fly.

To build a bike with a F&P is one thing and you could always walk home when it failed but to use one to fly with would be asking for trouble i would think.

Several have tried the F&P for solar cars and gave up as they were not efficent enough, as there is better motors for the job.

Yeah I agree with Pete. The F&P isn't structurally strong enough to supply that sort of power, the 10kw or more thats needed would tear the plastic hub apart.
