Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Hi Guys
Purchased a fingerprint reader from ebay.
Had a number of features that I thought would be fine for my application.
One feature it did have was a slot for a Micro SD card.
I thought that would be great to be able to view all the activity on the device.
Well that is what I thought.
The file that is created on the card is 001_AFP.dat
Tried the usual notepad and excel but no good.

Got back in touch with the seller (Chinese) some 4 months ago with no success to this day, they just sell the product and obviously have no technical knowledge.
I have searched everywhere on Google and I am unable to get a program that will read it.
So are there any of you guys that might have a program that would be able to view the data.

Regards

I looked at the file for either a magic, or a sig that would point to the creator of the file. No luck...
