Hello everyone.Firt time post.
I have four f&p motors and hsve built an undershot water wheel in the creek on my property.I cant get any height to make any head, hence the undershot wheel.I have geared this up to get 600 to 1000 rpm unloaded. Can you tell me the best way to rewind the f&ps for low revs to charge a 24 v battery system. Im pretty sure two of the f&ps are 80 series. Also could I put two motors on one shaft? Would this be too much load? Would I have to take it to a machine shop or could I do this myself?

The 600-1000rpm may not have enough torque to drive a F&P, depends on the size of your water wheel and how much water is passing. You may be better off using a low RPM, around 100, and driving the F&P from that, unmodified. At 100rpm, a standard 80 series should charge a 24v battery.

Your going to need to do a lot of experimentation, there is no easy answer.

Yes you can put two F&P on one shaft, but if you need a machine shop or not depends on what tools you have at home.

Thinking out of the box. Maybe one could: cut the center 5 3/4 inches out of a F&P magnet hub (there is already a series of oval holes there). Then glue it to another hub back to back. Your bearing mount would have to hold your stator to hub 2. So setup/mount the bearing shaft vertical from one F&P in a vice so it turns. Then set the cut out hub on top of the mounted hub with the magnets pointing the other way (ie. back to back hubs). Spin & adjust until it spins true. Grind/file/etc to get a flat fit. Once you know it will go on and spin true, mark it so you can glue it on with 100% silicone bathtub and tile caulking. The kind that hardens like rubber. (Use wax paper, make a shape, let it dry overnight, peel it off and stretch it. I made a kids toy that way once.) Adjust it for spinning true as soon as you set it on the other hub. Walk away, let it dry overnight at least. Remember not to forget to remember that glue will be spinning out of balance if you do not make one even glue line 360 degrees, of the same thickness. Then set your hub on straight down to the marks you made earlier, (ie. set points ) so you don't smear the glue elsewhere. Then the tube that holds your bearings needs to be attached solidly to the bracket that will hold your second stator in the glued on hub, and you will need to be able to remove that bracket to get your hubs off. Another thought is screw and glue. Once centered, drill through both hubs in a 5 bolt pattern, glue, assemble and check for true. You are the one that decides weather to place the magnets of one hub aligned with the magnets of the other hub to create a parallel output of 3 phase and extra clogging or, align the hubs off and or the stators off by 1/2 magnet for the no clog effect er what ever, by turning/mounting decisions. Never gamble with something you can't afford to loose. I've never done this before, or seen it done anywhere, so if it doesn't work, don't mention my name.

Geez why on earth would you do that?

Simply send an email to OZ-AX (Fillm here) engineering and he'll sort you with the gear you need to drive 2 x F&P's from a single shaft.

as for the corect voltages if Gizmo cant suggest something....i sure as hell wont!

depends on the battery voltage you have 1'st and foremost.
