Hi folks. 
When you are writing or replying to a PM, if you are writing away there happily, and want to insert a smiley, if you click one from the table on the left, that is fine, but if you click the "more..." link, and choose one of the other smilies from the expanded table that opens in another window, THIS smiley is always tacked on to the very bottom of the thread, NOT the point where your cursor is, like it does if you select from the list that is visible from the editing window. This has the net effect of having to cut-and-paste the smiley ASCII from the very bottom of the message, back to where you wanted it to be. Is this a bug? Something that can be fixed? Something that can't be fixed? Something you just have to ignore? Smoke makes things work. When the smoke gets out, it stops! |

Yeah, a feature. Originally the forum would place all smiley faces and other tags at the end of the text, no matter where your cursor was. I changed the javascript code to place at cursor position, which took a fair bit of work to achieve at the time. The page with the extra smiley faces didn't get updated, its as it was from the original developer. Therefore the pages where it does work, its a feature. I'll look at updating the smiley faces page at a later time, its fiddley to do and I'm a little busy. Glenn The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. I saw on a mechanics forum a smiley. 
The mechanic had repeatedly asked the same question to the postee who waffled on with out answering the question. 
The mechanic had a smiley that bent over and banged his head, as he asked the question again. 
The postee never answered the question, simply raved on. 
The  mechanic never posted again.
Other posters continued the topic which was never resolved. 
If any of them had looked into the question they would have found the problem. I did. 
I loved that smiley banging his head. So appropriate.
Can Gizmo find more smileys and add them to the Emoticons?

Anyone who wants more smileys can rip them from the Gmail compose form. They must have hundreds there. One of the more descriptive ones is this one which could be used to describe the quality of some data. I've enlarged it a bit so it's a bit pixelated.
