Notice. New forum software under development. It's going to miss a few functions and look a bit ugly for a while, but I'm working on it full time now as the old forum was too unstable. Couple days, all good. If you notice any issues, please contact me.

Would you still need to use large propellers if the air passing over the blades was pressurized? Air tools use pressurized air to accomplish a variety of jobs, why couldn't that pressurized air spin a pelton turbine? There's a large variety of 12 vdc air compressors. You will have to start with a fully charged battery though. Once your compressor fills your tank, you can release the pressurized air to spin the pelton turbine. As the turbine spins, it charges the battery. The compressor won't restart until the pressure in the tanks drops to whatever your air pressure switch is set at. If 90 psi of air pressure can power air impact wrench, why can't it spin a turbine? |

The energy put back into the battery by the turbine would be less than the energy used by the 12v air compressor to fill the tank. Again you are talking about machines that power themselves. Wont work. Its called over unity, and frowned upon because its a waste of time and resources to build a machine that can never work. The basic science laws explain why these devices dont work, but unfortunately the people who argue they can work, dont bother to read and understand the science. Instead they waste the time of people who do understand the science. The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is right now. JAQ |
